QuickBooks and Bookkeeping News

To check the status of your QuickBooks file, press the F2 key. Here you can determine how close you are to the program’s maximum limitations, such as list sizes, the number of database file fragments, and file size. If any of these three parameters are close to the maximum limits, you are risking a QuickBooks crash and burn.

Now is a good time of year to see how your business is measuring up to your business plan, verifying if any “spring cleaning” is needed in your QuickBooks file, and if you are on track with your estimated tax payments. QuickBooks Online Backup is useful if you are importing large amounts of data, if you want to test a new feature without affecting your real data, or just in case the cloud is compromised in some way.

Did you know that the little arrow next to the accounts in your Profit and Loss statement allow you to expand or collapse the level of detail in your report? Go ahead and try it. I bet you didn’t even notice that little arrow before.
